Please make sure you have read the Round 6-7 Bridge/Intro Comic before continuing on with the Journal!

"I did not invite you here to play games. I invited you here to DIE."

Franz's words echoed in everyone's minds. To say they were cold was the understatement of the century. There was no doubt that this man was genuinely serious about trying to kill all the Trainers and their Pokémon on Ohana.

Having narrowly escaped a sub-zero death, the six Trainers who had disobeyed their leaders to get here were now the only ones able to save everyone. It wouldn't be long before Franz would know his servers had been taken over and that they'd escaped, if he didn't already know - An extremely forward thinking man, he had seemed to always be several steps ahead of everyone, much to the frustration of the authorities, who had been unable to pin anything on him without decisive evidence.

Guided by the voices of Daven and Mattias, they fled the G3 Offices and out into the open to brave the elements yet again and shut down the machines causing the terrible weather - It wasn't just Ohana and its people at risk anymore either - If they didn't stop Franz here, then he'd be free to attack any other region he wanted. They couldn't let that happen! Not while there was still some fight left in them!

R7 Task and Challenge

Story Task

Your mission in Round Seven is to shut down the T-VAM machines by any means.
There are six machines scattered around the Islands, and, through coordination with Mattie and Daven, you have each been assigned a machine location and will rendezvous with one of the Ranger Leaders to shut down these machines and bring an end to Franz's malicious weather manipulation.

Akia has the shortest distance to cover, but likely the most dangerous approach. T-VAM 01 is located in a cave halfway up Mt Myth, but the pathway there is blocked by Franz's strongest 'mon, an Abomasnow. Razz knows the area and terrain well, so use that to your advantage here.

Orrin is headed to the rocky shore at the south-east end of Unity Island. A manmade cave has been revealed with the location of T-VAM 02 and Maylea has gathered some of the stronger 'mons in the preserve to aid in the mission.
A Dewgong has been reported in the area, and is no doubt assigned to protect the machine's location.

Ion is to head back to the Arceus Valley, and meet with Cheri, to locate the T-VAM 03 somewhere in the tunnels at the northern end of the valley (not in the same zone as the Arceus Valley Gauntlet).
Be alert that Franz's Aurorus is still in the area and will aggressively defend the machine.

Harvey has been ordered to head to a cave east of Squirtle Bay City, where T-VAM 04 is located. Caleb is en route and has already been engaged by a Mamoswine - Team up with him to deal with the machine's guard and then shut it down.

Casper has been given the location of T-VAM 05, hidden in the basement of a condemned building in the Black Zone of Hero City. Rangers Makani and Keanu are paired with you to search out this machine and end its operation.
Construction workers had mentioned the presence of a Cryogonal before being evac'd, so be on your guard.

Tom is to return to Mt Mauna with Hadyn, and shut down T-VAM 06, deeper in the tunnels of Mt Mauna than the Mauna Gauntlet.
Be alert that Franz's Avalugg is still in the area and will aggressively defend the machine.

Story Notes:
- You must show your Trainer working together the Rangers to stop the T-VAMs.
- Injuries are possible, but please try not to kill yourselves - Those who pass will be required to get back into action immediately, so dying is not an option.
- How you stop the T-VAM machines is up to you - Shut off its heat supply, break it, destroy it - Whatever gets the job done. Just please try to avoid as much collateral damage as possible - We'd like to keep the islands intact.

Important!
In this round, ice types will have an overwhelming advantage, as Franz has essentially created 'extremely harsh hail', to use terminology from the games. Ice types will have their strength bolstered by the cold, and be able to fight much more comfortably than most other types. While fire types will be slightly less affected than most others, using ice-neutral types may be the way to go.

Round Format

Format for Round Seven is FREE MEDIA

Format Notes:
- Bring your A-Game - Effort scoring will be based against your fellow competitors.
- You can submit in any submission style you like - Splash/Comic/Flash/MotionBook/etc etc - Just remember that the cut is tight this round. Minimal work won't make the grade against your opponents here.

Remember that you can ALWAYS ask the Admin team if you are unsure of something, be it format, story, or if you just want a general critique about your entry plans.
We want to see you succeed just as much as you do, so don't be afraid to ask us questions - Believe it or not, we're not THAT scary, and would rather you ask than not.

Like in previous Rounds, we will only accept Complete R7 Entries - That means all of your parts at once, not one at a time as you complete them. We also appreciate it when all of your parts link to one another, because it makes judging a lot easier for us.
And as always, make sure all relevant Trainer Apps (including your own) are linked in the comments section of your entries.

R7 Will Close on Saturday April 18 at 11:59pm GMT.

Please refer to the FAQ at the bottom of this section if you have any questions.

The weather is as bad as it can possibly get now - The islands can't take any more of this...

Ohana Weather App brought to you by Nexus Telecommunications Ltd.

Round Seven F.A.Q. Section

Q: What, no artist's challenge?
A: Nope~ Those competitors who've come this far have proved themselves in every challenge presented to them. From here on out, it's all story with no distractions. Of course, you're welcome to put any artistic spins on your entry you want. Just be careful you don't bite off more than you can chew.

Q: Do we have to fight Franz's mon?
A: Well, it's not a round requirement, but they're not just going to sit there and let you destroy Franz's plans.

Q: How much of our partnered Ranger/s do we have to feature?
A: The Ranger and each of the mons at least once.

Q: I'm not sure about something in the story/references/characters/other, or I'm not sure if an idea I have is ok. What can I do?
A: Ask us! Drop us a group note and we'll try to answer any questions you might have as soon and as clearly as we can.

More to come as required.
